modeling thin capacitive layer as a boundary condition

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I have a model (3D quasistatic electric currents in AC/DC module) with some very thin capacitive domains that I know would be well-modeled by instituting an appropriate boundary condition. However, this isn't a completely simple thing to implement because it will lead to discontinuities in the dependent variable V. Does this necessitate using assembly and specifying the boundary condition using weak constraints? Is there a simpler way? If that's the way to go, is there a good tutorial for weak constraint manipulation? The content (that I've found) in the manuals is pretty light on implementation details.

Thanks a million,
Mike
