Information about edges

HI! I need to make an explicit selection of some edges of my geometry. It's difficult to do it manually, so I'd like to implement it in Matlab. Is there any place where the information about edges is saved? When you select and edge, I see that it has an ID, so I'd like to know the ID and the initial and ending point of every edge. Is that possible?
