Convergence issues of 3D Coupled hydromechanical model for porous media

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

The coupled HM model I developed for porous media ran very well for 2D problem, but always encountered convergence issue for 3D problem. I have found the cause of this issue, which results from the rate of volumetric strain in the mass source term, i.e. "-eps_f×Cp×p_wt×Ing.rho-S_nw×Ing.rho×d(solid.evol,TIME)". Sometimes, an error "Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged." pops up. Also, I found there were some singularities in the domain. However, I still can't find a solution to this issue. Could someone help me about it?

Thanks a lot for your help.
