Sales Accounts Representative/Manager

Job Description

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a Sales Accounts Representative/Manager who will further our business by identifying, initiating, progressing, and closing opportunities for both prospective and existing accounts. This position will involve close collaboration with COMSOL engineers, who are experts in the software and the fields of science where the software is used.

This is an in-office position. Work hours will be determined based on the time zone for the assigned sales territory (East-West Coast).

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive sales from initial contact to close via phone, web meetings
• Increase and develop new accounts in an assigned territory, industry, or engineering discipline.
• Manage and grow existing accounts through account strategy, resource allocation, and customer service.
• Engage regularly with customers and prospects to understand their business needs and identify key influencers and decision makers.
• Understand and articulate the value of simulation software, especially the advantages of multiphysics simulation.
• Organize and participate in sales presentations and events; explain licensing models; create quotations; and discuss licensing terms and conditions with users, procurement specialists, and other customer personnel.
• Effectively collaborate with other team members, particularly in the engineering, marketing, licensing, and legal groups.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, or in place of degree, 4+ years of relevant sales experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel for limited times in order to run or assist in running COMSOL-sponsored events and activities (<10%).
• Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a physical science
• Prior B2B sales or customer service experience.
• Previous or current involvement with technology-based companies, research organizations, or technical academic institutions.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
