Update Flow in Bubble Column Reactor

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

So, I was wondering if someone could take a look at the model that I have developed for carbon dioxide flow through water in a bubble column reactor. I have added in mass transfer and a transport of diluted species into the bubbly flow model and am running into many errors. I based the transport of diluted species of the porous reactor with injection needle and my bubbly flow/bubble column off of the flow in a bubble column reactor model. I found correlations online for most of the parameters and can get it to run in bubbly flow without mass transfer or transport of diluted species but once I enable these two, it fails, either can't solve jacobian when performing a stationary study or I get other errors when performing a time-dependent study. I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. So, if anyone could help me I would be forever grateful!

I have attached the model.

Thanks,

Nick
