Regarding Microresistor beam example in COMSOL Multiphysics 4.0a

I had a question regarding microresistor beam example in MEMS module:

Copper is used in this example. Can aluminium be used in microresistor beam ?
Are there any advantages or disadvantages if we use aluminium instead of copper?

Please provide me an answer for this.

Thank you

Hi

what are you looking for ? the resistivity ? then check the material data, idem for stiffness and heat capacity properties.

But the main reason I believe is a technological reason, from my knowledge it's easier to deposit Cu than Al, either electrochemically or via soldering

Good luck
