Technical Marketing Engineer

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking an engineer to join the Technical Marketing team in Burlington, MA.

General Description

As part of Technical Marketing at COMSOL, you will use your technical, communication, and project management skills to produce and coordinate marketing content to demonstrate the capabilities of the COMSOL Multiphysics® product suite to engineers and researchers. Our products enable modeling and simulation for a wide range of applications including electrical, chemical, mechanical, and fluid so you’ll work with a diverse range of technical topics. In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to work with our customers on articles and on the annual COMSOL Conference, a global event dedicated to multiphysics simulation.

You’ll also create content for product releases, the COMSOL Blog, discussion forum, events, webinars, and advertisements in addition to writing whitepapers and user stories. As an engineer in Technical Marketing, you will be supporting all departments by writing and reviewing technical content and by producing compelling graphics using the COMSOL Multiphysics software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the global effort to review, edit, and publish the user-contributed papers, posters, and presentations featured annually in the COMSOL Conference User Presentations.
  • Create marketing collateral such as user stories, whitepapers, and graphics using COMSOL Multiphysics.
  • Develop compelling presentations for demonstrations and webinars showcasing COMSOL Multiphysics to audiences with 100s of attendees.
  • Technical and language review of content such as user stories, whitepapers, advertisements, and product or model documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (preferred), a Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in an engineering or science field. You will have completed coursework in Physics equivalent to a minor in the subject.
  • You’re passionate about writing, physics, and engineering and also have excellent written and verbal communication skills with examples to demonstrate.
  • You’re energetic, self-motivated, and adaptable with strong organizational skills.
  • You learn quickly and have an interest or experience in marketing in addition to a wide range of engineering topics.
